What can I claim for?

Under English law you are entitled to claim for any financial loss that you can show arose because of the accident.

This can include, but is not an exhaustive list:

  • Any assistance which has been provided to you either paid or unpaid
  • Any extra treatment you may have had to pay for such as physio, scans etc
  • Damage to property
  • Insurance excess
  • Vehicle Damage
  • Car hire
  • Travelling expenses
  • Loss of use of vehicle
  • Prescription receipts
  • Out of pocket expenses
  • Any adapted accommodation
  • Special care aids/equipment

In particularly severe cases:

  • future loss of earnings can be compensated
  • disadvantage on the labour market
